There is no secret to getting good grades. Time tested approaches all boil
down to a several essentials; however, the most important is a winning attitude. Attitude is the paint brush of the mind. Just like the little engine that could in
the childrens story, if you think you can, you will. Sometimes it is difficult for
students to think they can be successful because of past failures; they hit a wall
and cannot seem to go beyond it. Others in their environment may have given
students negative feedback. But, students can overcome past negative
experiences and gain a winning attitude. It takes work; but, it can be done.
Remember what cannot be learned today can be learned in time. Persistence
is the key. Everyone learns at a different pace; it takes more time for some minds
to mature. Biologists say humans only use 10% of their brains. The object is to
adopt a winning attitude and use more of the remaining 90% to be successful.
